Thank Allah, the press conference held at Dar Al-Jalal Mosque today, Sunday, October 15, 2023, was concluded.

The President of the Arab Cultural Center presented the speech to the press, the content of which was

To begin, I would like to introduce myself as a Palestinian refugee born and raised in a Palestinian refugees Camp in Syria. My family moved to Saudi Arabia and spent every penny to complete my education as MD in Ukraine. Just like millions of Palestinians, we are the generation of the first Nakeba.
The Palestinian people have several reasons to defend themselves, and their actions often cite international law and human rights principles, including various United Nations (UN) resolutions and articles of international agreements.

Right to Self-Defense (UN Charter, Article 51): Under the United Nations Charter, every nation, including the Palestinian people, has the inherent right to self-defense in the face of armed attack.
UN General Assembly Resolutions: The United Nations General Assembly has passed numerous resolutions recognizing the rights and legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people. Resolutions such as 181 (II), 194 (III), and 242 call for the establishment of a Palestinian state, the right of return for Palestinian refugees, and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from territories occupied in the 1967 Six-Day War.
Right to Self-Determination (UN General Assembly Resolution 3236): This resolution reaffirms the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people to self-determination, national independence, and sovereignty over their territory, including the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem.
Fourth Geneva Convention (GCIV): The Palestinians argue that Israel’s occupation of the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem violates the Fourth Geneva Convention, particularly Article 49, which prohibits the transfer of an occupying power’s civilian population into the territory it occupies.
Universal Declaration of Human Rights: Palestinians point to various articles in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, including Article 1 (all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights), Article 2 (prohibition of discrimination), and Article 7 (equal protection of the law) to argue that they are entitled to the same human rights as anyone else.
Right to Freedom of Movement (Article 13, UDHR): Palestinians argue that Israeli checkpoints, barriers, and restrictions on their movement within the occupied territories infringe upon their right to freedom of movement, impacting their daily lives and economic opportunities.
Right to Life and Security (Article 3, UDHR): The ongoing conflict and violence in the region have led to casualties and injuries on both sides. Palestinians, like all people, have the right to life and security, and argue that they must defend themselves to protect these rights.

The above points represent the bases for Palestinian continuous struggle. I want to add that the occupation has been dealing with Palestinians as third-class citizens, citing the current incidents of spitting on Christians by Israelis in Jerusalem.

Palestinians in Gaza are facing genocides, and if the world does not stop Israel from dislocating the people of Gaza, we will have another Nakeba, like 1948 and 1967.
