Ramadan Iftar at St. Louis City Hall – A Celebration of Unity and Culture
On March 28, 2025, the grand halls of St. Louis City Hall were filled with warmth, harmony, and cultural richness as the Arab Cultural Center – St. Louis, the Turkish Cultural Center, and Al Mu’minun Islamic Center hosted a memorable Ramadan Iftar. The event brought together people of diverse backgrounds, fostering a sense of community and mutual understanding.
The evening commenced with a heartfelt opening prayer, followed by welcoming speeches from esteemed cultural representatives. Guests were then treated to an enchanting Turkish music performance, highlighting the beauty of traditional melodies. As the call to prayer resonated through the hall, attendees shared a delicious Iftar meal, embracing the spirit of Ramadan through unity and generosity.
A key highlight of the evening was the presence of Megan Green, President of the Board of Aldermen, who delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of cultural exchange and social harmony in St. Louis. The gathering concluded with a closing prayer and expressions of gratitude, leaving attendees with a renewed sense of togetherness and appreciation for the city’s cultural diversity.

إفطار رمضان في بلدية سانت لويس – احتفال بالوحدة والتنوع الثقافي
في مساء يوم 28 مارس 2025، امتلأت أروقة بلدية مدينة سانت لويس بأجواء من الدفء والتآخي والتنوع الثقافي، حيث نظم المركز الثقافي العربي – سانت لويس، والمركز الثقافي التركي، ومركز المؤمنون الإسلامي إفطارًا رمضانيًا مميزًا. جمع هذا الحدث المجتمعي المئات من مختلف الخلفيات، معززًا روح التفاهم والتعايش المشترك.
بدأت الأمسية بـ دعاء افتتاحي مؤثر، تلاه كلمات ترحيبية من ممثلي المراكز الثقافية المنظمة. استمتع الضيوف بعد ذلك بأداء رائع للموسيقى التركية التقليدية، مما أضفى لمسة فنية خاصة على الحدث. وعند رفع أذان المغرب، اجتمع الحاضرون حول مائدة الإفطار، متشاركين وجبة رمضانية تقليدية في أجواء يسودها الود والتسامح.
ومن أبرز محطات الأمسية كانت كلمة ميغان غرين، رئيسة مجلس النواب البلدي، التي أكدت على أهمية تبادل الثقافات وتعزيز التآخي بين أفراد المجتمع. واختُتم اللقاء بـ دعاء ختامي وكلمات شكر، تاركًا أثرًا إيجابيًا في قلوب الجميع، ومجسدًا قيم الوحدة والتنوع التي تميز مدينة سانت لويس.
