Condemnation of Racist Behavior and Hate Speech of ex-diplomat Mr. Stuart Seldowitz
Arab Cultural Center expresses deepest concern and condemnation regarding the recent instances of racist behavior and hate speech that have come to our attention by Mr. Stuart Seldowitz.
Mr. Seldowitz is a retired diplomat that worked for President Obama and his behavior and words were astonishing to our Arab and Muslim community. His intention to harass the American Egyptian salesman in New York were very obvious and his hateful words about “prophet Mohammed peace be upon him” are regrettable.
As a responsible and inclusive organization, we passionately believe in fostering an environment that values diversity, equity, and respect for all individuals.
Racism and hate speech have no place in our society, and we are committed to taking a strong stance against such behavior. It is disheartening to witness actions that perpetuate discrimination and create an atmosphere of hostility. We passionately believe that every person deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their race, ethnicity, or background.
We believe that standing up against racism is a shared responsibility, and we are committed to actively promoting equality and justice. Our organization will continue to advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion our broader community engagement.

إدانة السلوك العنصري وخطاب الكراهية للدبلوماسي السابق السيد ستيوارت سيلدويتز
يعرب المركز الثقافي العربي عن بالغ قلقه وإدانته للحالات الأخيرة من السلوك العنصري وخطاب الكراهية التي لفت انتباهنا إليها السيد ستيوارت سيلدويتز.
السيد سيلدويتز دبلوماسي متقاعد عمل مع الرئيس أوباما وكان سلوكه وكلماته مذهلة لمجتمعنا العربي والمسلم. كانت نيته مضايقة البائع المصري الأمريكي في نيويورك واضحة للغاية وكلماته البغيضة عن “النبي محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم” مؤسفة.
كمنظمة مسؤولة وشاملة ، نؤمن بشغف بتعزيز بيئة تقدر التنوع والإنصاف واحترام جميع الأفراد.
ليس للعنصرية وخطاب الكراهية مكان في مجتمعنا ، ونحن ملتزمون باتخاذ موقف قوي ضد مثل هذا السلوك. ومن المحبط أن نشهد أعمالا تديم التمييز وتخلق جوا من العداء. ونحن نعتقد بحماس أن كل شخص يستحق أن يعامل بكرامة واحترام, بغض النظر عن عرقهم, الأصل العرقي, أو الخلفية.
ونعتقد أن التصدي للعنصرية مسؤولية مشتركة ، ونحن ملتزمون بتعزيز المساواة والعدالة بنشاط. ستواصل منظمتنا الدعوة إلى التنوع والإنصاف والشمول مشاركتنا المجتمعية الأوسع.

تم نشر هذا البيان بعد موافقة اغلب اعضاء مجلس الادارة للمركز الثقافي العربي فى مدينة سانت لويس وحصل على ١٠ اصوات من اصل ١٦ صوت.
This statement was published after the approval of the majority of the board of Directors of the Arab Cultural Center in the city of St. Louis and received 10 out of 16 votes.
